Immediate opening: Office Assistant Position Available
Job Description:
Our rapidly growing integrative clinic in Oak Park, specializing in natural health and wellness, is currently adding a new part-time support staff position.
We are seeking an open-hearted, open-minded, and ready-to-learn person to assist with the daily physical functioning of the clinic in addition to assisting our staff with client treatments.
Weekday and weekend hours; flexible hours partially dependent on patient load.
PT- 20 hours per week minimum.
Compensation based on experience and capabilities. Entry level welcomed.
Job Responsibilities:
· Front-desk receptionist duties, as needed, including answering phones, payment collection, and scheduling of patient treatments
· Preparation of treatment rooms including cleaning treatment tables and tools
· Patient comfort tasks (situating hot packs/bolsters/pillows/supports used in the course of patient visits)
· Light cleaning and clinic organization (ie light sweeping)
· Laundry tasks including laundering/folding sheets and towels
· Preparation of simple correspondence (ie thank you notes for referrals, monthly birthday cards)
Minimum Requirements, Skills and Experience:
· Hold at a minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent
· Possess a motivated, warm, caring and courteous personality
· Possess an understand of, and appreciate the importance of, adapting fully to patient needs
· Moderate physical activity is involved; ability to lift and bend
· Comfort learning and assisting with clinical as well as clerical tasks
· Computer/technology skills and experience including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail marketing systems
· Accepting, non-judgemental, compassionate and patient approach to interpersonal dynamics
· Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
· Interest in learning new skills as needed
· Ability to appreciate and comply with all confidentiality and HIPAA policies
· Ability to maintain a safe, secure, clean and healthy work environment by following SOPs.
· Self-starter with ability to work independently, quickly and accurately
· Demonstrated ability to positively impact and support client relations
· Trustworthy, professional and dependable without exception
Requested, but not required:
· Spanish speaker
· Healthcare office experience
· Student (current or potential) of natural medicine or bodywork

Are you skilled, capable, and comfortable utilizing a wide variety of Myofascial Treatment Techniques, including: Ischemic Compression (Trigger Point Release) Technique, IASTMs, etc?
Are you comfortable, capable, and confident with deep tissue techniques, joint mobility techniques (stretching) and other techniques that are physically-demanding on the practitioner?
Are you professional, consistent, and reliable?
Are you capable and comfortable with SOAP documentation of client visits?
Our ideal candidate:
- would share our commitment to creating a safe, inclusive space for healing in the physical, emotional, and energetic aspects of being through integrative therapeutic modalities for persons at all ages and stages;
- would strive to further their capacities as a therapist by working as part of a wellness team with providers of many disciplines including chiropractic, acupuncture, and physical therapy on patient treatment goals and plans;
- would help in creating an inclusive environment through their non-judgmental, highly-adaptable personality and excellent communication/interpersonal skills;
- would have experience (or would be open to educating themselves further) with prenatal massage techniques
Pay would be commiserate with experience and certifications, $36-44/hr.
