Styles and Techniques

Deep Tissue 30-90 minutes

This massage will work the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia (connective tissue). It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or knots, called adhesions.

Sports Massage 30-60 minutes

Sports massage was developed for athletes who need to keep their bodies in great condition and quickly work out any stress or injuries. It can be used to help an athlete prepare for competition, support the body as it is competing, or help with recovery after an event. Sports massage is also appropriate for anyone with chronic pain, injury, or range-of-motion challenges. Unlike deep-tissue, which can leave the body sore, this therapy is usually fast-paced and compression-based so the body feels ready for action.

Prenatal/Postpartum Massage 60-120 minutes

Prenatal massage promotes relaxation, soothes nerves, and relieves strained back and leg muscles in expectant mothers. Massage is especially beneficial in the second and third trimesters when the extra weight in the belly puts a strain on the back. Postpartum massage is also beneficial as it allows the new mother time to herself and to help her body begin to recover.

Relaxation Face & Neck 30-60 minutes

Relaxation massage has become a big part of many people’s lives as busy and frantic lifestyles—high-stress jobs, families to care for, endless personal obligations —take a toll on health and wellbeing. Regular relaxation massages can be an excellent step towards improved overall wellness. This massage tends to focus on face and neck to help with headaches, stress, and mental fog.

Lymphatic Face Drainage 30-60 minutes

The purpose of this massage is to move fluid out of tissues and into lymph nodes, where bacteria, viruses, and other harmful microorganisms are destroyed. It reduces swelling and pain as well as stimulates the immune system, increasing the circulation of white blood cells. It is appropriate for addressing sinus issues and headaches and to decrease wrinkles. The massage may also incorporate Gua Sha (tool-aided scraping technique) to further reduce facial congestion.

Cupping Therapy 30-60 minutes

Cupping is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which the therapist applies special cups to the skin and creates suction. Cupping is used for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.

Electric Stimulation 30-60 minutes

Electric stim machines deliver electrical current to the body through electrodes attached to the skin. It is used as an alternative treatment for pain, muscle fiber recruitment and functional retraining. This therapy is often paired with manual therapy and dry needling.
